Stories of love, of longing, of passion, of truth

For those who see the sadness and loneliness in an older man's eyes

For those who see the wonder and excitement in a younger man's eyes

For those lucky enough to have found the love of their lives

For those who kissed a man for the very first time and thought, finally, this feels right

For those who believe in the magic of chemistry

For hopeless romantics and hardened realists

For those who've ever been turned down at a bar

For those who've ever gone to a clothing optional resort and wondered what the hell was going on

For those who pick up a gay magazine and don't see themselves represented

Whether they've gone thru it themselves or hope to someday, for those who enjoy stories of men in love

Whether those stories are sad, happy, tragic, hot, romantic, painful, or funny

Where are all the men?  Well, that’s kind of a broad question.  Let’s narrow the focus.  Where are all the gay men?  Even more specifically, where are all the gay men when it comes to gay-themed films?

They aren’t in the theaters.  It takes so much publicity and so much effort to get gay men into theaters to watch movies about other gay men.  Why is that?  When I was trying to get financing for a gay-themed film called AS FAR AWAY, I was told it was impossible to get that demographic to go out to the movies.  They were afraid.  They didn’t want to be seen going into that theater showing that film.  The movies themselves weren’t even playing in rural areas.  Sure, everyone was given a free pass to see BROKEBACK because it was socially accepted.  Critically acclaimed.  Oscar nominee.  But all those other movies?  Well, how recent ones many can you name that have made their money back or made their mark on the landscape?

Honestly, I would never assume to paint everyone with the same brush.  But I think I know where these men are.  They are at home, watching all those wonderful –and not so wonderful – gay movies in the privacy of their own homes.  LOGO, HERE TV.  Sure.  But its mail order movies for gay men that are the big business.  Companies like PICTURE THIS, TLA, OUTCAST and WOLFE VIDEO have entire catalogs of gay themed films.  And the men are watching them in droves.  Wanna know how I know that?

In 1996, I made a very small, very independent movie called GREEN PLAID SHIRT.  Although it opened OUTFEST 1997, it was never theatrically released.  But it did go to home video/DVD.  Every year, I am surprised to hear from dozens of new fans who loved the movie.  When I email them back, they tell me how much they enjoy all the other movies in the catalogs.  They pretty much watch – and suggest to me - every single one.  Titles I have heard of and titles I have not heard of.  I’m stunned.  They never catch them in theaters because they know they can enjoy them at home.

Now, in urban, forward-thinking areas like LA, Chicago and New York, there really is no stigma attached to going out and being around gay culture.  But the market that is untapped is everything in between.  Where some gay men lead very, very lonely lives and live sometimes hours away from the nearest gay anything.

These are the men I hear from. And they are starved for entertainment that speaks directly to them and their lives and hopes and dreams.  It’s because of this, that I created an anthology series called M4M.

The first season of M4M is made up of 6 one hour male love stories.  Horror, comedy, social commentary, erotic, melodrama and romance.

With that being said, we are very happy to announce that we currently have secured JP Calderon to be our host and narrator for each episode!!

Former SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS contestant JP Calderon is a model/actor who came out quite publicly during the second season of THE JANICE DICKINSON MODELLING AGENCY.  His story took off like a shot and his career caught fire quite quickly.

He appeared on a widely publicized cover story of INSTINCT MAGAZINE, one of the highest circulated publications for gay men.  His coming out story touched thousands of readers and in 2008, he appeared in an unprecedented second cover story for INSTINCT, checking up on him one year later.

JP’s appearances in M4M: LOVE STORIES FOR MEN is definitely a huge asset for the show.

And keep checking in on the M4M BLOG as we start announcing other well-known actors from previous gay-themed films as the guest stars and leads of our M4M episodes.

But in the meantime, check out the sneak peek of each episode!!
